The National Endowment for the Arts will provide a limited number of grants, ranging from $25,000 – $250,000, for creative placemaking projects that contribute toward the livability of communities and help transform them into lively, beautiful and sustainable places with the arts at their core.

Saucony Run For Good Grants, Application Deadline: June 13 and December 13, 2011

These grants are open to nonprofit organizations that initiate and support running and fitness programs for kids.

Bristol-Myers Squibb Foundation Funding for Diabetes Prevention, Application Deadline: April 15 and August 1, 2011

Together on Diabetes is a new five-year, $100 million initiative to improve health outcomes of people living with type 2 diabetes in the United States by strengthening patient self-management education, community-based supportive services and broad-based community mobilization.

Childhood Obesity Demonstration Program, Application Deadline: April 8, 2011

The CDC is now accepting applications for grants to fund demonstration projects to examine whether intervention at the primary care level and public health at the community level can combat the obesity epidemic for underserved children.
