Please note: Grantee attendance at non-HPCDP sponsored events, conferences, and trainings is encouraged as long as the content of the learning opportunity directly supports the workplan and the associated expenses fit within the approved budget. Please consult with your liaison to determine whether a training opportunity meets these requirements.

An Evening with Kelly Brownell – “Addressing the National’s Crisis with Nutrition & Obesity” Monday, March 7, 7:00 pm.  Hilton Hotel & Conference Center, Eugene, Oregon.

Dr. Kelly Brownell is Director of The Yale Rudd Center for Food Policy and Obesity and the author of 14 books, including “Food Fight; the Inside Story of the Food Industry, America’s Obesity Crisis, and What We Can Do About It”.  In 2006, TIME Magazine listed Dr. Brownell among “the World’s 100 Most Influential People”.  This presentation is free and open to the public.
