Webinar: Creating Walkable Streets – an overview of legal issues, September 22, 2011 10:00 AM Pacific

As local governments start planning more pedestrian-friendly communities, legal questions may emerge, especially around liability issues.

This webinar, hosted by Public Health and Law Policy will provide an overview of what makes a community walkable and how to consider the liability risks, and will present new tools to make pedestrian-friendly streets the default in your community.

Archived Webinar Materials: Engaging the Business Community in chronic disease prevention efforts.  Last week, Trust for America’s Health and the National Business Coalition on Health (NBCH) covered strategies and recommendations to help public health effectively engage the business community in prevention-related efforts. The session included presentations from the Alliance for a Healthier Minnesota and the Indiana Tobacco Prevention and Cessation Commission.
