The Health Care Innovation Challenge from the Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation will fund applicants who propose compelling new models of service delivery/payment improvements that hold the promise of delivering the three-part aim of better health, better care, and lower costs. Potential applicants must submit a letter of intent by December 19, 2011, and applications are due by January 27, 2012.
Current funding opportunities are available through AmeriCorps. There may be some good connections between Living Well programs and work focused on improving the health of older adults. Proposals are due on January 18, 2012.
The Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center and the San Diego State University/University of California, San Diego Cancer Center Comprehensive Partnership are inviting applications to address disparities in colorectal cancer education, prevention, and treatment among underserved populations. Applicants may propose projects that include any aspect of colorectal cancer education or prevention. Activities can include, but are not limited to:
- Conducting health promotion and education activities to increase colorectal cancer screening
- Providing culturally tailored colorectal cancer education to selected target audiences
Applicants may also propose projects to inform cancer patients of treatment options and opportunities. Applicants may NOT propose to provide direct services (i.e., treatment) to any individual. Applications must be received by December 23, 2011.
