Training Opportunities — January 27, 2012

Oregon School Employee Wellness Education Conference is designed to be interactive and provide participants with the resources and tools to promote health and wellness in their schools and communities.  Sessions will highlight effective strategies to address the following conference objectives:

  • Build personal skills to improve overall health.
  • Create a culture of wellness at schools.
  • Establish a school team to develop a plan of action for employee wellness.
  • Access state, local and national resources to support school employee wellness.

Webinar: Putting the Tobacco Industry’s Words to Work for You, February 23rd at 10:00 AM (pacific)  The purpose of this webinar is to provide a basic overview of the tobacco industry documents, how to access them, and how to incorporate the documents into your work.  The speakers will provide examples of ways in which they have used the documents for research and advocacy purposes to promote tobacco-free communities.
