The Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Prevention Section is hiring a Community Programs Support Coordinator in Portland, Oregon. This is temporary (six months to one year; number of hours per week to be determined) and salary is $21.83 – $22.86 hourly. - Duties & Responsibilities: The purpose of the Community Programs Support Coordinator is to provide technical expertise and information in support of local program coordinators, local public health agencies and community organizations to implement interventions at the community and organizational level that promote norms change around tobacco, physical activity and nutrition.
- Qualifications: Experience with Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Prevention community programs including the Tobacco Prevention and Education and Healthy Communities Programs based in county public health departments and sovereign nations governed by federally recognized tribes. The candidate will also have experience working with evidence-based tobacco prevention, physical activity and nutrition programs focused on policy, environmental and systems changes. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
