On August 7 from 10 – 11:30 p.m. (Pacific), the Public Health Law Center will host the Webinar:   Digging into the Tobacco Documents:  Real Life Examples of How to Advance Tobacco Control

The online collection of tobacco industry documents at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Legacy Tobacco Documents library provide hard evidence for anyone interested in building a case for tobacco control policies or facing legal challenges to tobacco control measures.   Searching the collection may seem daunting, but as our webinar will demonstrate, conducting this research is actually quite easy.  Tobacco control advocates, policymakers, and attorneys can take advantage of the wealth of information contained in tobacco industry documents to identify common tobacco industry strategies and practices, and advance tobacco control.

Speakers will describe how to use the Consortium’s publication, The Verdict Is In, which contains findings from the historic U.S. v. Philip Morris civil racketeering case, to identify cited documents in the UCSF library.

On August 22 at 8 AM (Pacific), the Small Business Majority and The Alliance for Business Leadership will host the Webinar: Workplace Wellness:  Healthy Employees mean Healthy Bottom Lines, which will cover how workplace wellness can save businesses money.
