CDC Grand Rounds presentation slides now available: Where in health is disability? Public health practices to include people with disabilities
This session of Grand Rounds explored opportunities for optimal quality of life for individuals with disabilities. One in 6 adult Americans lives with a disability when defined by a limitation in function. Many are at higher risk for multiple chronic conditions, injuries, and increased vulnerability during disasters. This powerful session of Grand Rounds explored public health opportunities for disease prevention, intervention and improvement to enable people to live well with functional limitations.

On January 15 from 11-12:30 (Pacific), the Center for Science in the Public Interest will host the webinar From Supersize to Human-size: Shrinking Sugary Drink Portions. This webinar will describe the rationale for the policy; decisions that influenced the policy; challenges and implications faced by the department; and advice for how to reduce sugary drink consumption in your community.
