Public Health Policy Specialist (Operations and Policy Analyst 3)
This position will be on the Public Health Division’s Policy Team, which is located in the Office of the State Public Health Director.  Currently the Policy Team consists of the Policy Officer, Rules Coordinator, Child Health Policy Lead and Health Systems Policy Lead.
This position will support the success of major Division-wide policy initiates and work on building our public health policy capacity, along with other duties.

Reporting to our Health Promotions Supervisor, the Sr. Program Coordinator will manage and coordinate programs that cross all of the County’s public health programs. Specifically, this position will be responsible for guiding our shared work toward public health accreditation, performance management and workforce development. Additionally, the Sr. Program Coordinator will also provide contract oversight and participate in the school-based health center initiative.

Health Promotion and Contract Services
To coordinate and participate in the operational activities of a two-year grant, provide program assistance, perform a variety of advanced support assignments related to the administration of budgets, contracts, and research projects; to assist in program planning, evaluation, implementation and reporting; coordinate activities and outcomes among grant partners; provide training related to chronic disease prevention and programs; to oversee work assignments and to lead the work of assigned interns, volunteers and support staff; may be called upon to act as liaison between community agencies and the State.
