CADCA’s expertise is applying a comprehensive, data-driven environmental strategies approach to create community change – building coalitions is what CADCA does best.  As such, the Alliance will convene a national network of coalitions and partners to impact tobacco-related and cancer health disparities to provide education and communication support for evidence-based tobacco use and cancer prevention strategies. We hope you will join us at our upcoming signature training event, the  Geographic Health Equity Symposium, September 10-11, 2015 at Tulane University School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine in New Orleans, LA. Ask the Expert: Engaging with Local Health Departments for Comprehensive Cancer Control
According to findings from the National Association of County & City Health Officials (NACCHO)’s recent assessment of state Comprehensive Cancer Control (CCC) coalitions, coalitions value and strive to achieve good state-local alignment of cancer control efforts. Although local health departments are well-positioned for local implementation they are not always involved in CCC activities. On May 12 at 2 p.m. ET we will have an interactive discussion led by NACCHO’s Brandie Adams. The event is at capacity but summary notes will be circulated after the event. #TAPaskexpert
