Sustainable Relationships for Community Health Grant

The following notice about a funding opportunity was sent to Health Department Administrators and Health Officers:

Please be advised that a new Oregon Health Authority Request for Grant Proposals, RFGP  4170: Sustainable Relationships for Community Health,  has been posted on the Oregon Procurement Information Network (ORPIN) located at this site:  The ORPIN Opportunity number for this RFGP is #OHA-4170-16.

In RFGP 4170, the State of Oregon, Oregon Health Authority (OHA), requests Proposals from qualified Proposers to participate in an OHA, Public Health Division learning collaborative to develop Sustainable Relationships for Community Health (SRCH). The SRCH Initiative will engage cross‐sector leaders involved in health system transformation to advance health system interventions and promote community-clinical linkages in order to reduce the burden of tobacco use and chronic conditions in Oregon’s communities.

The RFGP is now posted and can be accessed through the Oregon Procurement Information Network (ORPIN) website:

Once you are logged in you will need to “express interest” in the RFGP in order to download the RFGP and its attachments, which describe the opportunity, and contain the Proposal requirements which must be followed by all Proposers and required forms.

Truth Initiative is accepting grant applications from public community colleges to support efforts to advocate for, adopt, and implement a 100% smoke and tobacco-free policy.

Proposals due April 29, 2016.

First Nations Development Institute (First Nations) Grant to Conduct Community Food Assessments

Application deadline: Tuesday, March 15, 2016, 4pm PST

This grant opportunity is intended to support efforts of Native communities looking to gather information and data to understand the evolution of their food systems and make data-informed decisions about the future. The grant period will commence May 1, 2016, and end April 30, 2017.
