Oregon Health Authority: Program Analyst 3 (Policy Specialist)
The Policy Specialist evaluates and recommends program priorities to achieve state program goals and funding requirements. The Policy Specialist recommends statewide policies, procedures and priorities consistent with the mission and policies of the Oregon Health Authority. The Policy Specialist recommends legislative concepts to address chronic disease prevention, tobacco control, and related chronic disease risk factors including but not limited to obesity. This position provides strategic coordination and assistance to County Health Departments in the enforcement of state policies and the development, implementation and enforcement of local policies to address chronic disease prevention, tobacco control and obesity prevention. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with members of local, state and national agencies, community organizations and various program stakeholders and contractors.
